THE ALCHEMIST(BOOK SHARING)

 
Hello good people. Hoping you having a lovely Sunday.
Few days ago i promised to share some lessons from The Alchemist(a book i was reading). Today is the best day to share having in mind its a Sunday and finished reading the book two days ago.
This book is written Paulo Coelho, one of the world's most popular spiritual writers from Brazil. He has several bestselling novels translated into more than  firty languages. He talks about everything from love to suicide to magic to meaning of life.
Have read few of his other books like Veronika Decides To Die, Manual Of The Warrior Of Light and The Pilgrimage.
I have a habit of writing down notes as i read and i also prefer tangible books to e-books(am still a traditional reader).
I wrote many notes/lessons and i will share only but a few today, the rest i will one by one on my next posts(a trick to keep you around).










#Some books are meant to be read,loved and passed on-Alchemist is one of them.
#When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.(this sentence is repeated severally in the book)
#Everything in life has its price.
#Life is meant to be lived.
#To die alive is to take risks.
#Life is generous to those who pursue their destiny.
#The world we live in will be better or worse, depending on whether we become better or worse
#Dreams are made to be followed.
#It's the possibility of a dream coming true that makes life interesting
#If start out by promising what you don't even have yet, you'll lose your desire to work towards getting it.
#When each day is the same as next; it's because people fail to recognize the good things that happen in their lives everyday that the sun rises.
#The secret of happiness is to see all the marvels of the world and never forget the drops of oil on the spoon.
#The threat of death makes people a lot more aware of their lives.
#Remember that wherever your heart is, there you will find your treasure.
#You must understand that Love never keeps a man from pursuing his destiny, if he does it was not true love.

This is a Must-Read book.
My next read is Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
