Hello good people,

I am very passionate about gender equality and if you know me in person, you know I am a feminist and I admire Chimamanda. For a long time I used to have conversations about gender with different people, some that we agreed, on the issues and others that have shocking beliefs and ideologies about women.

I decided to do more than just talking. This decision was followed by the birth of @InformToEmpower. An initiative meant for promoting gender equality and empowerment of all women and girls through information(SDG5) . Join us for conversations and actions surrounding things that affect us as young men and women. We will explore topics such as: sexual harassment, equal pay, women in power, education, sexism language and societal expectations.

Information is power. Most of us(even educated ones) lack or have inadequate information about our rights, responsibilities and opportunities. For us to demand for our rights and opportunities that belong to us we need to be aware of them first. We need to equip ourselves with knowledge.

Women and men should be able to enjoy equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities in the social, political and economic sectors. Let us call out gender discrimination.
